***THIS DOG IS IN DALLAS, TEXAS*** Melek is a very handsome and lovable Anatolian Shepherd x German Shepherd mix, est DOB 1/13/16. He was brought to the shelter in May with a broken front leg. The vet felt there was no hope of saving the leg so it was amputated. Melek does not know that dogs are supposed to have 4 legs. No one told him he is missing a leg.... right after the surgery he was up and running like nothing ever happened. He is very athletic and agile and has a very happy, outgoing and positive personality. He loves life to the fullest each and every day! He is very smart and very brave considering the trauma he has endured in his short life. Melek loves people and very much enjoys being a part of the family. He will need either a carpeted home or throw rugs if you have a wood or tile floor. He is very adaptable, though, and will make a wonderful family companion. Transport options may be available if you live out of the area.
