TYLER, TEXAS~~ EMAIL  ASDRESCUE@GMAIL.COM

Meet beautiful Miss Merida.  This lovely girl was found as a stray, foraging on her own to get by each day.  On top of living on the street she also had a broken leg and a raging infection.  If those two issues weren't enough, she was pregnant, as well, and was ready to give birth at any time when we found her.

Due to the severity of her injury, it was necessary to amputate one of her front legs.  She gets around remarkably well.  She also has a custom made prosthetic which she is slowly getting used to.

Merida is a wonderful girl and has a very typical Anatolian personality.  She is friendly and loving but is also appropriately protective of her home and property.

Merida gets along with all of the dogs in her foster home; big and small, boys and girls.  She prefers the company of dogs with a calm demeanor vs an energetic adolescent.   She's good around cats and she does well meeting new people.

Merida is potty trained and she walks well on leash.  She thoroughly enjoys the company of people and will be happiest in a home where she is a part of the family.

PLEASE NOTE: Since Merida is a tripod, she's going to do best in a home with a minimal amount of stairs.  She can handle a couple of steps to get into the house but she's not going to be able to go up/down a full flight of stairs.
