Ariel is a beautiful Anatolian (or possibly a mix) pup who was hit by a car in early March 2021 and ended up in the shelter. Her estimated DOB is June 2020.

Ariel suffered a lot of trauma from the accident but she has come thru all this as a “miracle girl”.  Her only injury was nerve damage to her front leg. Unfortunately this damage was irreversible so the vet recommended amputation.

Despite all of this, Ariel is a very happy, bouncy three legged pup. She happily hops all around the yard, wants to play, is quite affectionate and is house trained. 

Ariel is a smaller Anatolian, she weighs 65 lbs and probably won't top out much past 70 lbs.  She is spayed, heartworm negative and fully vaccinated.

Ariel has a wonderfully sunny outlook on life. She is happy and playful and loves to run around the yard and play.

Transport assistance may be available within a 1,000 mile radius depending on where you live and the availability of volunteer drivers.

Secure fencing with a minimum height of 4 feet is required on all adoptions. Please note that some Anatolians will require a taller fence to keep them safely at home.

Most Anatolians are not well suited to apartment living.
