Austin is about 20 months old and a big boy at 115 lbs. The poor guy was surrendered to a Kansas shelter because he was HW+ and his owners couldn't afford his heartworm treatment. But that's not Austin's fault! Austin is safe with NASRN now in an area boarding kennel. While he is a friendly guy and everyone loves him at the kennel, Austin just wants a real foster home where he can have a family and begin his heartworm treatment. Austin's original family had two cats, another large dog and a small dog. Austin loved playing with all of his family's pets. He is house trained, and will let you know he needs let out. He also is familiar with using a doggie door when the family is not home. He knows sit, stay, and leave it. Austin loves play time and rough housing, but he also loves cuddling and petting. Bath time and brushing just mean more attention in Austin's way of thinking!! And he loves road trips! Austin does need a 6 foot secure fence. He loves playing with other dogs so much he taught himself the art of 4 foot chain link fence jumping. So if you don't have a secure 6 foot fence, please don't ask.
